The lodge is located in a peaceful countryside setting, surrounded by fields and friendly horses. The stunning views from the lodge provide a calming and tranquil atmosphere. Guests have access to amenities such as a well-furnished room and bathroom, with personal touches like horse food to feed the horses. The lodge is also conveniently located near a Chinese takeaway that delivers.
The signage and entrance to the lodge can be difficult to find, especially with the lack of a notice at the gap in the hedge. The steep and potholed slope leading to the parking area may pose a challenge for certain vehicles, and the steep and slippery hill to the lodge itself can be challenging for those with mobility issues.

The lodge itself is beautifully furnished and offers amazing views of the surrounding wildlife. It provided a serene and tranquil space to unwind and relax. The location, surrounded by fields and friendly horses, added to the overall charm of the experience. The lodge also offered a well-equipped kitchen for those who enjoy cooking. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as the challenging access road and lack of clear signage, my overall experience at Wilderness Lodge was really good. I highly recommend this good getaway to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature.

The terrace was a nice spot to enjoy the view and the airport was conveniently far away. The holiday home had a garden and BBQ facilities, which were perfect for my stay. The private parking was a luxury.
I just loved trying to find the entrance in the hedge and navigating the potholed slope in my average family car. Such a thrill!

The bathroom was super clean and had a nice shower. It made me feel refreshed and ready for the day. As someone who loves a good hot shower, this bathroom was a real treat!
The only thing I didn't love was that there was only one bathroom. But hey, that's just my personal preference.
